Hi everyone, this is Katy!
On Nov 4th, probably around 5PM PST/6PM MST/7PM CST/8PM EST/11PM UTC/12AM BST (Nov 5)/8AM JST (Nov 5), we will be playing Elevator! If you've never played it before, Elevator is a locked room trauma game played out over four rounds—there will be brief mentions of various types of injuries later in this post as examples, just as a warning! I've changed a couple of things and re-arranged flavour text since the last time I ran this, so it might be a little different if you've played before.
Each round will be 24 hours long, turn in is due at the same time every day, and new rounds will be posted pretty quickly after the last one (give me like, 15-20 mins to do math and stuff okok)
ABOUT THAT DEATH AND HARM... There are different stages for height, where you'll take no harm, mild harm, serious harm and a stage for taking lethal damage, all based on how high you are. There is also the "top floor" which is immediately a loss/death if you get there during the game.
You can have creative liberty with your injuries! I'm also not going to heavily describe any of it for you, in case some of it is squick material! If you end up in the serious harm section and you don't want a collapsed lung, you don't really have to have one, for example. You can always say you were cushioned by a teammate who took most of the fall for you, etc etc, I support dramatic saves under the power of love and friendship.
I'm also not going to viscerally describe how you die in case you'd like to keep it semi-vague and stuff, or maybe you have a dramatic death vision where your character crawls out of the wreckage to then die in their lover's arms, y'know!!
I do have a kind of guide about what I mean by different stages of injury if you'd like some ideas:
The game will be out of time and probably take an IC day, so characters not playing can mingle around wondering where their teammates have disappeared off to again if they want!
Please sign up under your team header below if you plan to play! It's okay to show up on that day and be late, but this gives me an idea of what to expect! (btw Echidnas can be part of it but do not have to sign up)
Okay thanks let me know if you have any questions ♥

Anyhow, what the heck is Elevator? Teams will be locked in an "elevator" and are tasked with picking two other teams: one that they will raise into danger, and one that they will lower into safety.
The game automatically ends when five or more teams hit the "top floor" OR after four rounds. How badly hurt you are will depend on how high your "elevator" was at the end of the game. This means if you're really unlucky, your team might be out in the first round.
This game has guaranteed death for at least one team and it's very possible that more will die/be grievously injured, so please keep that in mind!

NO DAMAGE: YOU'RE GOOD. All damage done is psychic ♥
MILD: Your elevator didn't drop very far and you banged your knees and have a couple of bruises, a bloody nose, that sort of thing. Maybe a sprained ankle, or a cracked rib if you're feeling spicy.
SERIOUS: Your elevator fell a long way. This is where you'll be sporting broken bones, internal bleeding, multiple injuries are likely, impaled, etc.
LETHAL: You've died. You can decide how bad of shape your body is in yourself! Maybe you're a beautiful corpse with minimal blood. Maybe you're in unspeakably horrific shape. This is up to you
