sorry if i missed it but! how many characters can people app?

If your character is already an animal (like for instance, a horse) would they go full monster or just be a monster horse?

LMFAO, this is up to you! They can be a full monster (like a werewolf horse just turning into a wolf), or they can be a monster horse (a horse with werewolf features). The monster part is definitely intended to be super flexible so players can do with it whatever makes them happiest in their heart space.

FOR CURIOSITY’S SAKE, if I app a character who is an astral projection of the earth’s moon, does the moon body come with? does the moon get painted with prison stripes???

I NEED A LITTLE MORE INFO, like. Is the moon the actual playable character, and the astral-projection is how the moon appears to other people because the moon is-- in reality-- a floating rock in space?? And are you asking if this character would appear in Reverie as THE MOON or the astral projection or both?

I have answers for all these I just need sliiiightly more clarification first, weeps.

The character’s physical body is a giant baby space monster incubating inside the moon, which is its egg. The only thing it does is sleep and dream about running around on Earth as its projection.

The playable/interactive form of the character is the moon-egg’s dream/astral projection, which also would be the one playing all the monster effects. The dream projection is human-sized and functionally a physical body. He is playable without the moon-egg immediately present!

Would the character arrive as only the projection, or moon+projection?

Ah okay, got it! And with this I'd say you can play with what is most fun for you! So the character can arrive as only the projection and SUDDENLY SHOCK AND AWE, IT HAS A PHYSICAL REAL BODY, or it can be the MOON and the projection and the moon can have painted prison stripes. Though if the character does arrive as the moon be mindful that the setting will reduce the moon's size to like. . . horse-sized, so nobody gets crushed by moon egg incubator rock.

Hello, I have a question regarding monster forms interacting with canon powers!

For a very specific example, I plan on apping a man with the ability to manipulate his own bones (grow and change their shape, add extra bone, etc)

If I plan to give him a monster form that would give him a long skeleton tail (like. y'know, a tail without all the flesh and fur.) would he be able to manipulate that tail as well?

The answer to that is yes! However, the limitation on this power would be that he can't use the ability to shapeshift to completely get rid of his physical monster changes. He can use it to alter the way they look, i.e. make them bigger, change their shape, etc etc, but in the end they would still be there.

is switching between mostly humanoid looking and a bigger monster form under certain circumstances ok or would that fall under receiving powers from the possession (shapeshifting, maybe being slightly stronger in the monster form or having teeth and claws) and not be available?

this question is significantly less important. do I get to keep my character's glasses and earrings or does he lose them with the rest of his clothes

this is kind of weird and idk if i am wording this right but if there's a reason for my monster to have memory issues, can my character experience that too? or is that monster power?

1) The powers I'm talking about that people don't have are mostly things like. . . fire-breathing for dragons, or charming people for sirens, or flight for angels, etc etc! So form changing under certain circumstances-- as long as it isn't like, purposeful shapeshifting-- is totally okay and wouldn't count as a power. There will definitely be posts/events that cause the possession to become "stronger" at times, and I will absolutely allow for things like form changing during these posts, so I won't say no to it happening outside of these posts too!

tl;dr YEAH THAT'S FINE it's not a power, so long as it isn't purposeful IC shapeshifting, which WOULD be a power and may or may not become available later on rainbowhands

2) He loses them with the rest of his clothing 8(((( but he may or may not be able to get them back at some nebulous point in IC time, we'll see!

Nah, that wouldn't count as a power! Mostly because I can't see it being beneficial for either the monster or the character, rofl. If your monster has memory issues it's totally fine if it leaks over to the character, too!

I just realized I took Reim's glasses without asking if he needed them LMFAO. AKIRA WEARS VANITY GLASSES ERGO ALL GLASSES ARE VANITY NONE ARE PRESCRIPTION--

Anyway you can still have him not arrive with glasses, but! If he needs to them to see, or would be difficult to play without them, you can also have him arrive with his glasses. Please don't run around running into things Reim practice self-care. . .
