[PALACE GAME SIGN UPS]

Have you noticed? Some of your friends sure are acting a bit. . . strange! And no matter how hard you may try to reach them, they can't hear you. Are they honestly and truly lost forever? Well. . . not if you have anything to say about it!

Welcome to PALACE GAME SIGN UPS!

The gist of the plot point is this: some characters have had their monsters gradually taking over, which has culminated in them having full control of that character's body. As this is not the result of a death consequence, it almost seems as though the take over is permanent. In order to restore control of these bodies to the original owners, [REDACTED] is going to be allowing the rest of the game into the Palaces of the afflicted characters with one simple instruction: "bring them back." The goal of each Palace will be to find and restore the character's lost consciousness. The methodology is being left up to Palace runners, so no two characters will be brought back the same way.

Based on the lower limits each runner has given me in advance, for now each character may sign up for two sessions, with at least one of them being guaranteed. However, there are caveats to the second sign up:
1. When signing up for any Palaces, specify "first game" for the one you absolutely want to play in, and "second game" for your second. This is so runners can give priority to those who have yet to play in a Palace, if their game participant cap has been met already. Runners have the right to say "hey sorry but I can't actually fit you into this session" to any "second game" sign ups. Please be kind to the runners and respect their limits!

2. Speaking of limits, spread yourselves out! If you see a slot has a cap of 7 and 7 people have already signed up with "first game," then you should use your "first game" sign up somewhere else. You may still sign up with "second game," especially if you talk to the runner in advance and get permission, but again, respect a runner's limits and try not to overload their slots. And if you see a Palace that doesn't have many sign ups at all, please feel free to jump in, even if you don't have CR with the person. Sometimes, the best CR is created when you tromp through someone's psyche, right??

3. BASICALLY JUST BE KIND TO RUNNERS AND ALSO TO EACH OTHER!! If you reeeeeeeeally want a certain session and it's full, then you can always talk to the runner themselves; just respect their decision if they say no!
AND THAT IS ALL. Remember Palaces are running from September 3 - 11. Many people are also willing to run multiple sessions, which is pretty awesome! Each runner should make a top level to this post with their Palace info (including any cws, if there will be any), and then sub top-levels with the dates and times they've chosen to run their Palaces. If the runner has any special instructions and/or permissions for their Palace, that should be included in the sign up top level as well.

OTHERWISE. . . HAVE AT IT! If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know!

I'm planning two runs, with no more than 6 people each. The plan is for 4 hours, with any wrap-up being done asynchronously. (If you have close CR with Ilphyl, but can't make either time, let me know; we'll figure something out.)

CW: Parts of Ilphyl’s past that people might stumble upon deal with religiously motivated child abuse, sexism (albeit fantasy-world sexism as it is against male drow), transphobia and fantasy-world racism. There will probably be spiders, but may not be pictured or described in detail. Some memories may include fantasy violence typical of a D&D game.

If you want to engage with Ilphyl’s Palace, but not some of the warned content, let me know and I can make sure you stay on an alternate route. I’ll also put warnings on particular areas if it seems likely to come up, and use the subject lines of threads to add in warnings if it comes up unexpectedly.

Run 1: Monday, September 5th, 5:30 PM US Central Time
Run 2: Saturday, September 10th, 1 PM US Central Time
