[the suggestion box]
On Day 1, the suggestion box rules were unlocked! Note that these rules are for OOC REFERENCE ONLY, and you will have to have your character figure them out ICly some way or another! If it helps, Akira has posted an IC version of these rules on the box for characters to read (courtesy of LWJ). But I'll enumerate on them OOCly for you:
1) The suggestion box will not take multiple requests at a time! If you write down more than one, it will yell at you :(
2) You can request one item at a time from the suggestion box! This item can be anything, such as an item from home (a weapon, a trinket, an article of clothing), or even something you didn't have at home (like medicine, sunglasses, whatever). You can request an item once an OOC month, starting on the 1st and ending to the last day of said month. There's a size limit on items, though: the box won't give you anything that is bigger than like. . . a person. So no cars or motorcycles or the like!
3) Not all suggestions will be granted! I reserve the right to throw rocks at your character instead. I'm sorry in advance.
4) Bigger setting changes (I'll let you guess what that means) will need more than one character making the suggestion for them to be implemented. To make this easy OOCly, you can have one character make the initial suggestion and then just have a bunch of people +1-ing it for my purposes. How many people are needed to implement bigger setting changes? About ten or so! Once a suggestion is made and processed, I as a mod wil add it to the setting whenever we have a bit of lull time ICly. I won't be giving you buildings every week, for instance! I may wait a few weeks between setting updates depending on how busy we are. It all depends!
5) I reserve the right to change the rules of the suggestion box if I get so many requests that I start dying, sweats. But I don't foresee this being an issue, so!!
Now that the rules have been unlocked, you do not have to comment to the suggestion box to get your monthly items from home/small items! In fact, I'd 100% prefer you not comment and that you just handwave your character got them somehow. However you are free to keep commenting with other suggestions for funsies b/c the box still has some fun little features! And ofc, if your character got their monthly item and is trying again, please also comment so I can give you a SPECIAL SURPRISE that is not a rock I promise. Maybe.

Please provide a bell of the same kind and function as those which summon members of the cell block Echidna to the Eatery, Motel, or Hall. The following modifications should be made:
- The bell should be easy to carry with you
- The bell should summon an individual to your side rather than to a specific location
- The individual it summons should be Lan Zhan or Wei Ying rather than a member of Echidna
In other aspects the bell should behave as its model. Missives regarding the strength of our desire are included. If the request is impossible, please provide a helpful and relevant explanation of the limitation which prevents it.

She is a kind woman, and Wei Ying's sister. I cannot allow her to be harmed again. I desire this as strongly as I have desired anything. I beg you grant it. Please.]

I still might not be able to protect her from everything here, and neither might Lan Zhan, but I'd owe you a lot for the chance to try.

Jiang Yanli's Note
However. If it is not too bold of a claim, I do believe that having such a bell in my possession would assist me in completing my duties as a member of Echidna and also making the lives of those living here as comfortable as possible. Having this bell would greatly ease the minds of two of the current residents here, and would undoubtedly make their stay more comfortable. Their mental well being is just as important as their physical well being; should we not search for avenues to allow residents to be happy, in addition to being clean and well fed?
Although I understand that they are not members of Echidna, and are not under any obligation to assist, there may also be times when there is something I am unable to do on my own. Being able to call upon them in such times would help me to better serve the community. Both young men are capable, intelligent, quick-witted, and able fighters who would be a great asset in helping the community thrive. They have willingly asked that this bell be created. I would like to honor their wishes.
I confess that it would also give me peace of mind, to know that I can call them to me to make sure that they are unharmed.
If it is too large of a request for you to handle, then I understand as well. Thank you kindly for your consideration.]

Reim Lunettes' Note
- From my observations, presumably drawing from our 'unconscious thoughts and desires,' this box will usually grant objects identical to objects from our personal experiences. While this normally results in objects from outside this prison, our time in the prison itself should also be sufficiently ingrained in our unconsciousness to provide an acceptable blueprint. We have all interacted with the bells provided to summon members of Echidna and are familiar with its use.
- While the requested bell is slightly modified from the bells provided, this modification is vital, as the intended purpose of this request is the protection of Miss Jiang Yanli. As the provided bells do not guarantee which member of Echidna will appear, there is no way to utilize them to transport Miss Jiang in specific.
- Miss Jiang is a diligent and compassionate woman whose performance as a member of Echidna is worthy of particular praise. Despite arriving at an especially harrowing point in time, she has shown remarkable calm and immediate dedication to her duties, preparing a meal for over two dozen residents on her very first day. Therefore, Miss Jiang's safety is of great benefit to the community as a whole, as her ability to continue admirably attending to her duties would be sorely hampered by injury to her person.
- Miss Jiang is not unique in being a capable and reliable member of Echidna; however, many other members of Echidna have abilities and combat experience which enable them to skillfully protect themselves. As Miss Jiang lacks such abilities, I believe it prudent to provide extra measures to ensure her protection by means of this request.
- Mister Lan Wangji and Mister Wei Wuxian are powerful and capable individuals in neutralizing threats, such as the zombie invasion Miss Jiang faced on the night of her arrival. It was thanks to their presence at that time that Miss Jiang was not harmed. This perfectly demonstrates their fitness for the task of protecting Miss Jiang's person.
- On a personal level, in these past ten days, I, Reim Lunettes, the author of these arguments, have been generously assisted numerous times by Mister Lan, Mister Wei, and now by Miss Jiang as well. If I can express so much as a fraction of my gratitude to each of them by lending my voice to this request, then it is my great honor to do so. I keenly understand the desire to protect a precious loved one, and I would be unspeakably pleased to witness their attainment of the requested bell.
In closing: although this request is unusual when compared to previous boons granted by the suggestion box, I believe that it should be within the ability of the suggestion box to provide, and that the results would be of universal benefit to the denizens of this prison. It is also all of our deep wish to see this request fulfilled.

It's a normal bell :( It's cute but it doesn't do anything magical. . . a sense of personal disappointment lingers in the air.
