Because this came up in a discussion:

"Wow, I want to change my monster. Let me just decide that a new monster decides to possess my character and comes along and fucking EATS (or otherwise chases out) the previous monster possessing them! My character can remember the experience of this happening and be traumatized by it if I want. Nice."

AS HILARIOUS AS THIS WOULD BE AND AS MUCH AS I LOVE IT IN THEORY. . . no, it is not possible :( Once your character has a monster that is their monster for life! Or at least their time in Reverie.

does this also apply if you drop/reapp a character

If you reapp them with previous Reverie memories, yes! If you reapp them and wipe the slate clean, naw; you can change the monster.
