when buying The Emperor or The Empress from the token shop, does the character determine what the power/ability is themselves, or is it like. pick between a mental power or a physical power and then you get what you get?

Either/or! If you want your character to ICly choose, they can! However, if you don't want them to choose and want to leave it up to IC chance for hilarity's sake, that's fine, too.

follow up question: if I buy an Emperor/Empress power [unspecified] while I have the arknights disease can I rng an arknights disease power instead of a werewolf power

EEEEEEEEEEHHHHN. . . yeah sure, we'll go with yes, since I know Arknights disease can grant SPECIAL ABILITIES and I told Yog that it wouldn't do that due to [gestures at monster powers being available now]. But if you have no werewolf abilities you want, I'll allow an Arknights disease ability to take its place. One per token!

But if Reim ever gets cured, then all abilities acquired by ARKNIGHTS DISEASE will go away o7

eta: ALSO FOR PEOPLE READING THIS: this only applies to Arknights disease due to its special nature; you can't get any other canon abilities from the tokens! So no buying Personas, or Chains, or what have you.
